About position:

As a Senior Fintech Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining & delivering the product roadmap in Fintech Tribes. You will be the go-to person on all things related to fintech products. You will drive product vision, requirements analysis, and delivery process. Together with the business you will oversee growth, improve funnel conversion, engagement, lower the costs, and maintain the best quality on all aspects of the product, customer journey, and our service. You come in as an experienced product leader in the Fintech and/or banking industries, with strong knowledge in product development and strategic project management fields.

Based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, you will play a critical role in scaling our products to offer the best experience to our customers, in all markets we operate. Reporting to the Chef Fintech Product Owner you will lead your product portfolio along with the business and Tech leaders and contribute extensively to the roadmap of other product verticals.


  • Define product vision, road map, and growth opportunities
  • Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and creating requirements
  • Take the lead of scrum teams as the Product Owner
  • Product and project management of virtual and physical cards projects, including planning, execution, and closure in multiple geographies
  • Manage and monitor project schedules, risks, and issues, ensuring timely resolution of any issues or deviations from project plans
  • Coordinate and facilitate project meetings and project status reports with Payment Schemes, BIN sponsors and other stakeholders to ensure timely execution of activities leading to launch
  • Ensure product documentation is up-to-date, complete, and accessible to all stakeholders
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management
  • Build and maintain relationships with project vendors and workstream owners, ensuring their work is aligned with project objectives and deliverables
  • Ensure project deliverables meet the required quality standards, including conducting final quality reviews and sign-off
    Plan and prioritize product feature backlog
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
  • Research and analyze market, the users, and the roadmap for the product
  • Follow our competitors and the industry benchmarks
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum practices and latest trends

Job requirements

  • 5-7 years experience in Fintech and/or banking industry in a product domain
  • Thorough understanding of payment ecosystem, card products and payment schemes
  • Hands-on experience building products in Fintech and/or banking domains
  • Strong new-product design experience and a passionate approach to customer experience
  • Excellent program management with the ability to lead projects from beginning to end, learning as you go
  • UI/ UX principle knowledge with deep customer focus by understanding customer behavior and analyzing data and real-world experiences
  • A detail-oriented and very structured thinking
  • Interpersonal/negotiation skills and the ability to prioritize features based on customer needs/wants
  • Ability to lead a team and build partnerships with other functions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all the stakeholders and enjoyment of taking ownership
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and deadline-driven environment
  • English-speaking a must
